goals

The main objective of the Master's program is for its students to master the theory and practice of documentary filmmaking in order to develop fully in the professional and/or academic field.

Specific objectives:

1. To develop the analytical and creative training of students, around audiovisual projects and research.
2. To promote formal experimentation and ethical-aesthetic reflection in documentary filmmaking.
3. Acquire professional skills for the development and management of documentary projects
authorial.

Applicant Profile

Applicants to the Master's in Documentary Film may hold a Bachelor's degree or a professional title in any area of knowledge whose level, content and duration of studies correspond to an equivalent training to that of the Bachelor's degree from the University of Chile, which will be determined by the Academic Committee of the Program.

Graduate profile

The graduate profile of the Master's Program in Documentary Film corresponds to a graduate trained to create, research, develop and produce documentary works.

Lines of investigation

Due to the professional nature of the Master's in Documentary Film, it is appropriate to indicate lines of development and not of research, which are detailed below:

4. Autobiographical Documentary
5. Cinematographic Language
6. Film Theory and History

Each of the professors on the faculty subscribes to one of these lines of research, as do the undergraduate theses of the students.
