This program is designed to train graduates capable of performing creatively in research and in the professional field. An essential aspect of the program is the development of a thesis that must constitute an original contribution, through the application of methodologies or the generation of scientific knowledge, to the resolution of a specific problem in the field of geological sciences.
Applicant Profile
Hold a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Geology, awarded by the University of Chile or another university, or an equivalent degree that ensures satisfactory prior training for the purposes and requirements of the program
Grade point average equal to or higher than 5.0
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Program can work in public and private companies in the fields of mining, energy and natural resources in general, civil works, scientific research, university teaching, public services, territorial planning and interdisciplinary work groups that address aspects related to the resolution of geological problems.
