goals
The Master of Science Program with a specialization in Physics has two fundamental objectives:
To provide a solid education in the fundamental areas of Physics, including: Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics and Statistical Mechanics, with the purpose of training specialists capable of entering doctoral programs in Physics.
To provide specialized training in one of the research lines of the Department of Physical Sciences, to introduce the graduate to scientific research.
Applicant Profile
Applicants to the Master of Science Program, specializing in Physics, must hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Physics, Engineering Sciences, or, failing that, possess a professional degree whose level and content of studies are equivalent to those required to obtain a Bachelor's degree in any area of Physical Sciences. Special requests may be considered by the University's Postgraduate Office after receiving a report from the Program Director in consultation with the respective Academic Committee.

The appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge to systematically develop and increase both their abilities in the creative solution of problems in the Physical Sciences, and their skills at a higher level in Scientific-Technological research.
The ability to analyze, synthesize, and project the training acquired in the field of their scientific competence.
The appropriate ability to continue doctoral studies.
