To train researchers in the field of human sciences and history in particular, capable of formulating and executing research projects in the area, integrating interdisciplinary teams and laying the theoretical and methodological foundations to continue doctoral studies.
Applicant Profile
Hold a Bachelor's degree in a specialty of the Humanities.
Graduate profile
Graduates of this program will possess up-to-date knowledge of theories and methodologies in the field of humanities, enabling them to design and develop research on regional issues from a historical perspective. They will be qualified to conduct independent research, participate in interdisciplinary research teams, and pursue doctoral studies.
Lines of investigation
Lines of investigation
1. Contemporary societies, individuals and communities. It addresses the relationships between individuals, communities and societies from different theoretical approaches in the human sciences and history, paying particular attention to the tensions in the contemporary world and in territories.
2. Society, History and Territory. It relates aspects of Regional History with territorial geographic analysis, as complementary approaches for research on political, economic, social and cultural-identity dynamics and subjectivities.
In addition, the research lines are reinforced by a Research Methodology Training Module, which spans all four semesters of the curriculum. This module is designed to provide students with the epistemological and methodological foundations for designing and developing a research project in the field of humanities.
