goals

General objective:
• Develop theoretical and methodological skills to carry out advanced research within the framework of linguistic, discursive and/or communication studies.

Specific objectives:
1. To strengthen theoretical knowledge that contributes to the study of language, discourse, and communication in
multiple and complex sociocultural contexts.
2. Apply methodological tools for the study, analysis and understanding of language and communication in its various expressive and contextual modalities.
3. To have an impact on professional, academic, and social spheres through research that highlights the
scientific and social status of language and communication studies.

Applicant Profile

The applicant must present documents that prove a minimum of 8 semesters of study.
academics who have completed a bachelor's degree or a professional title. The professional title may be: Translator, Language and Communication Teacher or similar, English Teacher, Elementary School Teacher, Educational Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Sociologist, Journalist or Anthropologist, among other professions that are
relate to the study of language, discourse, or communication.

Graduate profile

The graduation profile includes the development and evidence of the following competencies or performances:

1. Investigate the fields of language and communication by identifying situated problems that involve diverse subjects and contexts in order to contribute to the understanding and
resolution of the phenomena studied.
2. Analyze, from a socio-critical approach, various practices and processes in the fields of language and communication, with the aim of contributing to the development of situated research based on explicit ethical principles.
• Communicates, in various formats and instances, the results of their research with the purpose of contributing to the work of research teams, professional networks and other institutions and organizations in the social environment.
