goals
To train highly qualified and competent human resources to conduct advanced research in various areas of the Process Industry, thereby contributing to national scientific and technological development and preparing them to work both domestically and internationally. The program aims to develop professional researchers with a strong theoretical foundation and a clear understanding of the state of the art in their chosen area of specialization.
Applicant Profile
The basic requirement for applying to the program is to hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or a professional title whose level, content and duration of studies are equivalent to those necessary to obtain the corresponding Bachelor's degree.
Graduate profile
According to their profile, graduates of the Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at UTFSM will have the following competencies:
– Demonstrate mastery of knowledge in specific areas of Chemical Engineering, particularly those related to Mineral Processing, Environmental Engineering, Food Processing and Bioprocesses, Process Automation and Simulation, and Process Engineering, depending on the chosen specialization.
– Identify and apply appropriate research methods and techniques in solving problems related to Chemical Engineering and the chosen area of specialization.
– Conduct independent research, with a chemical engineering perspective that incorporates international benchmarks in its field of applied research.
– To solve problems effectively and innovatively in the scientific and professional fields where one works.
