The Master of Science in Engineering Program, specializing in Water Resources and Environment, of the Water Resources and Environment Division of the Department of Civil Engineering, aims to provide advanced training for specialists in areas such as analysis and management of water resource systems, hydrology, fundamental and fluvial hydraulics, transport processes in surface and groundwater, and analysis of aquatic environmental systems.

Applicant Profile

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, or equivalent, is required for admission to the program. Additionally, applicants must be accepted by the Program Committee. Selection criteria include academic performance in previous university studies and two letters of recommendation from distinguished academics or professionals.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master's in Water Resources and Environment are specialists qualified to work at different levels: regulatory, implementing and monitoring bodies of environmental policies; in the public and private sector related to water use and the environmental impact assessment system; in central, regional and local government in studies related to water resources or in private consulting; as well as in academic activities in different training and research centers.
