This program is designed for professionals and graduates who wish to develop their skills in the field of scientific and technological research. It is particularly relevant for professionals in the business, government, and academic sectors who want to incorporate advanced research into their professional practice.
Graduate profile
The Master of Science in Engineering, Major in Electrical Engineering, trains graduates with the ability to analyze, plan, optimize operation and control, specializing in electrical distribution systems, electronic systems for efficient energy processing, signal processing, analysis and design of communication networks, and simulation and control in electrical power systems, keeping them up-to-date on concepts of automation, efficient operation and power quality for innovation in their respective areas of performance.
Thus, graduates of the program will be trained to study, analyze, propose solutions, develop and validate mathematical models for:
• Optimization of the operation and control of electrical power systems
• Innovation through applications of automation concepts, efficient operation and power quality.
• The planning, analysis and operation of communication systems.
• The simulation of applications in Communication Networks.
• Development of Robotic Systems, with emphasis on control and automation aspects.
Lines of investigation
Sensors and telecommunications, which covers aspects from the acquisition of electrical signals, to their subsequent processing and transmission through highly specialized equipment
Artificial intelligence and automation, which considers aspects associated with the realization of intelligent and autonomous systems through the design and implementation of sophisticated algorithms.
