goals

General objective:
The overall objective of the program is to address Communication Sciences from the Public Communication approach, training graduates capable of analyzing, from a theoretical-methodological perspective, the challenges surrounding the construction of public goods from the academic and organizational world.
Specific objectives:
a) To develop in the student investigative skills that allow him to apply scientific methodologies for the theoretical-methodological analysis of communications.
b) To provide graduates with specialized tools that allow them to conduct research in the field of communications in various organizations.
c) To train graduates capable of facing the current challenges of communication and information within the State and its public entities, from the national to the local level, as well as in the various civil society organizations.

Applicant Profile

This program is designed for those holding a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication and/or a Professional Title in Journalism, or a Bachelor's degree or Professional Title related to the field of communications. In the latter case, the Program Committee will evaluate the applicant's academic and, if applicable, professional background to determine if they can fulfill the program's curriculum.
The program is open to professionals and those from related disciplines, subject to a review of their interests and background. In all cases, the CPM is responsible for evaluating candidates' qualifications for participation in the program.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master's Program in Communication Sciences will be able to:
a) To understand and situate the dynamics, emergences and transformations of the field of study from a critical and multidisciplinary perspective, considering the main theoretical and conceptual debates in the field of public communication.
b) Apply appropriate research methodologies and techniques to analyze current problems addressed by communication studies, formulating responses to their own demands.
c) To interpret and promote research into processes that contribute to generating public goods that help strengthen democracy, such as pluralism, transparency and diversity.
