goals

To train qualified human resources capable of conducting basic and applied research in the field of biodiversity and the conservation of renewable natural resources, in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems

Applicant Profile

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in the fields of biological, environmental, agronomic, forestry, natural resources, fisheries and aquaculture sciences, or other related disciplines, with a duration of at least eight semesters. Applicants with degrees obtained abroad must submit their certificates duly legalized by the competent authorities. The Selection Committee will evaluate the applicants' credentials and decide whether the scope and depth of their studies are equivalent to those offered in Chile and sufficient for admission to the Program.

Graduate profile

The graduate will be able to apply fundamental theoretical aspects and methodological tools with molecular, ecophysiological, ecological and evolutionary bases, in the development of research that contributes to the generation of new knowledge in the field of biodiversity and conservation in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Likewise, the graduate will contribute to solving problems and developing tools that contribute to the management and handling of biodiversity and conservation.
