goals
The overall objective of the program is to train advanced human capital with solid training in the area of Biotechnology, who will contribute to the development of scientific and/or applied research aimed at creatively and innovatively addressing the problems arising from the use, management and preservation of renewable natural resources.
Applicant Profile
Academic degree of Bachelor in: Biological Sciences, Marine Sciences, Biotechnology Engineering, and Agronomic Sciences. Graduates in a related discipline with a duration equivalent to a Bachelor's degree may also apply.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Biotechnology at Arturo Prat University are professionals with a solid foundation in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology and Bioproduction Technologies. They will be prepared to develop practical and creative solutions to identified problems, as well as to innovate in the design, implementation, and execution of tools and processes for the management of renewable natural resources. Furthermore, they will be able to formulate and execute biotechnology projects that contribute to the scientific and technological development of the national public and/or private sector and the Northern Macrozone. The Graduate Profile indicates that the following competencies are acquired during the program: 1) Innovate in the design, implementation, and execution of tools and processes for the management of renewable natural resources. 2) Propose practical and creative solutions to problems identified within the context of biotechnology research and professional development. 3) Formulates and executes biotechnological projects that contribute to the scientific and technological development of the national public and/or private sector and the northern Macrozone.
