goals
General objective:
To train specialists in management and applied research in anthropological problems that contribute to the treatment of diverse social and cultural issues in the complex scenarios of contemporary society at the regional, national and transnational levels, consistent with the ethical-social principles of the Catholic University of Temuco.
Specific objectives:
1. To contribute to the formulation of innovative anthropological strategies for the development, management and evaluation of social and cultural projects.
2. To strengthen theoretical, methodological and ethical skills for research that contribute to the construction of anthropological knowledge.
3. To propose anthropological perspectives and knowledge on the social and cultural problems of the southern macro-zone of Chile, in particular, and of the national and transnational context, in general.
Applicant Profile
The master's program is aimed at both graduate students in anthropology and other social sciences, and professionals working in areas where social and cultural dynamics acquire significant relevance.
Graduate profile
The graduation profile includes the development and evidence of the following competencies or performances:
1. Uses anthropological knowledge to understand and intervene in relevant social and cultural problems within contemporary social reality in different fields of professional action.
2. Proposes interventions and research with an anthropological approach within the framework of public or private programs, policies and projects, considering the sociocultural and ethical-political particularities that emerge in the context of professional action.
3. Communicates anthropological knowledge through written or oral reports related to intervention and/or research projects, considering the contexts of production and reception.
