The Master's program in Health Administration is an interdisciplinary program and its fundamental objective is to train graduates with an in-depth mastery of the disciplines of administration, applied to the field of health management, with emphasis on hospital management.

Applicant Profile

Those who meet the following requirements may apply to the program leading to the Master's degree in Health Administration:
1.- Hold a Bachelor's degree or professional title whose level, content and duration of studies correspond to training equivalent to that of a Bachelor's degree at the University of Chile, as determined by the Academic Committee
2. Demonstrate prior training relevant to the aims and requirements of the Master's Program in Health Administration. The Academic Committee may require that, in addition to reviewing the applicant's background, their knowledge and skills in the program's disciplines be evaluated. This evaluation may consist of an examination or other mechanisms that objectively assess their level of preparation.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master's Program in Health Administration will have acquired the knowledge and skills to diagnose situations, make decisions, and implement strategic management in hospitals or other healthcare organizations. Furthermore, these actions must be aligned with the organization's strategic objectives within a global context and a framework of efficiency, ethics, and sustainability.
Graduates will have a training that integrates public health, clinical management, health economics, finance, the use of technologies for management and leadership of people, among other disciplinary lines, which will contribute to generating skills to develop efficient and effective solutions to the management problems and difficulties that arise in hospital institutions and other health establishments and contribute, with creativity and leadership, solutions to the problems, with emphasis on the quality of services and the rights and safety of patients.
In this way, graduates will be trained to lead high-performing teams in the clinical context, identifying problems and evaluating different situations related to health administration in order to make decisions that allow the optimization of the management of hospitals and other health institutions.
