goals
To train professionals capable of promoting ethical and reflective competencies and civic education in the field of education. This means that students will have an interdisciplinary theoretical mastery of concepts, theories, and models of civic education and the social sciences, develop their reflective capacity, and possess the pedagogical and didactic skills and abilities specific to their field to promote innovation processes through reflection on action.
Applicant Profile
Teachers of basic and secondary education (Religion, Philosophy, History, Geography, Language, Communication and others) and graduates in Humanities and Social Sciences who have experience or work in the school system, NGOs, non-profit foundations or government organizations.
Graduate profile
To examine the foundations of political culture through an interdisciplinary analysis of democracy and its institutions. To analyze the concepts, foundations, models, and competencies of civic education, differentiating them from other models of political education. To propose goals, content, methods, and evaluation processes to promote civic education competencies. To implement relevant teaching and learning processes for civic education, based on up-to-date knowledge of political didactics, using teaching strategies consistent with learning outcomes. To promote the formulation, argumentation, and communication of political judgment in students through theoretical knowledge and methodological skills to substantiate their political judgment.
