General objective
To train graduates with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of politics and public administration to exercise territorial public leadership, with principles of ethics and social responsibility, leading public and institutional policy processes, oriented towards the management of solutions in matters of public interest.
Specific objectives
– To provide an updated theoretical and technical training base in the field of public policy and public administration.
– To promote critical analysis of the problems and processes that make up the public agenda, with special attention to the territorial governance of public affairs.
– Develop skills to diagnose, design, manage, control and evaluate public and institutional policies.
– To promote attitudes of territorial public leadership and communication skills necessary for ethical, modern, democratic and innovative management.
Applicant Profile
The Master's Program in Politics and Government is designed for professionals and academics committed to the management of public affairs and policies, whether working within government, civil society, or the private sector. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the necessary relationships between politics, civil society, and the market, as well as the skills needed to contribute to regional and national development. Professionals in the social sciences are highly valued; however, professionals from other fields are also welcome, provided they have experience and an interest in understanding sociopolitical processes in the public sphere.

Graduates of the Master's program in Politics and Government will have the skills to
Design solutions to public problems based on advanced knowledge in the field of politics and public administration. With their conceptual and methodological skills, they will be able to lead public programs and policies, considering institutional processes and the dynamics and political actors involved. They will exercise territorial public leadership with principles of ethics and social responsibility, inspired by contributing to the innovative management of public affairs.
Will be competent in:
1. To manage concepts and methodologies in the field of Politics and Public Administration.
2. To critically analyze the actions of the State, its role and public-private partnership, in the management and administration of matters of public interest, through public leadership.
3. Design solutions to public problems considering institutional processes and the various actors involved.
4. To discern, with appropriate ethical and technical standards, the use of instruments and tools for the resolution of matters of public interest.
5. Communicate information orally and in writing, in a timely, relevant, and context-appropriate manner.

The Master's in Politics and Government does not have specific areas or lines of specialization; it is a program that provides its students with a general and comprehensive education in the areas of Politics (politics and public policy) and Government (public administration).
