The program aims to train graduates with advanced skills and knowledge in mineralogy, mineral chemistry, and geometallurgy, with the ability to optimize and innovate in extraction processes and in the stages where the mining business requires it.

The professional graduate in the Mining-Metallurgical and/or Geological area, or with proven experience in these fields, will develop the necessary skills to understand, develop and lead innovation processes in the field of mining and geometallurgy, applying advanced mineralogical knowledge in the various processes of the production chain, increasing the efficiency of the mining business.
Graduate Competencies:
– Competence to apply the mineralogical analysis methodology in their field of action.
– Competence to select advanced mineralogical analysis tools and methods, according to the requirements of the mining industry.
– Competence to successfully apply mineralogical and minerachemical information to industrial processes and/or in the modeling of mineral deposits.
– Competence to innovate in the mineralogical characterization of materials entering the metallurgical recovery process.
– Up-to-date knowledge of environmental issues in mining.
– Knowledge and competence to perform successfully in the field of Geometallurgy.
