General objective
TO TRAIN A GRADUATE WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SPECIALIZATION IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, SO THAT THEY CAN DEVELOP APPLICATIONS AND MANAGEMENT IN THE MANUFACTURING AND SERVICE INDUSTRY, SELECTING AND USING EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE AND TOOLS FROM MANAGEMENT SCIENCES TO ADD VALUE TO THEIR PROFESSIONAL WORK.

Specific objectives
– To train graduates with the skills to diagnose relevant problems, and to propose and implement solutions based on the use of industrial engineering tools with a critical sense based on existing scientific evidence.
– To train graduates capable of formulating, modeling, managing and evaluating projects related to the discipline, using advanced tools of organizational management; environmental management and economics and operations management and research.
– The graduate will be able to develop research by participating in interdisciplinary teams to face complex situations, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems.
– The ability to communicate effectively in different contexts will be strengthened in order to enhance their capacity to provide advice.

Applicant Profile

Demonstrable knowledge in linear algebra, probability and statistics, programming languages, economics, technical English, management sciences, and basic engineering sciences. These competencies will be assessed through grade transcripts, certifications, and evaluation instruments prepared for this purpose.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master's program in Industrial Engineering at the University of Concepción will be able to address problems in their discipline, using diagnostic tools, modeling and interpretation of results, in order to offer viable and appropriate solutions to the context.
You will be able to participate in multidisciplinary teams in the search for solutions with an integrative and innovative approach.
