General objective
TO TRAIN GRADUATES AT THE MASTER LEVEL IN APPLIED ECONOMICS, WITH THE AUTONOMOUS CAPACITY TO DEVELOP RESEARCH IN APPLIED ECONOMICS TOPICS AT A LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE, AND TO CONTINUE DOCTORAL STUDIES IN ECONOMICS ON A GOOD STAND, IN AREAS RELEVANT TO COUNTRIES OF LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN.
Specific objectives
– To develop the graduate's analytical skills and knowledge of economic theory and quantitative methods. In particular, graduates of this program should acquire the ability to understand and apply modern literature specializing in topics of applied economics, such as Labor Economics, Monetary Economics, and Banking Economics, and in the use of quantitative methods applied to Economics.
– To generate the professional capacity in the graduate of the program to develop applied economic studies in both the public and private sectors in different areas of the economy.
