General objective:
To train graduates with the skills to develop and propose cutting-edge basic and applied research, with the ability to integrate into research groups in the discipline of microbiology and other disciplines of Biological Sciences, contributing to the creation and communication of disciplinary knowledge in an integrative perspective, within a framework of social responsibility.

Specific objectives:
– To provide updated procedural and methodological tools to address and tackle microbiological problems within a framework of social responsibility.
– To strengthen students' ability to critically analyze existing knowledge and problems in the specialty in order to contribute to the disciplinary field.
– To contribute to the generation of microbiological knowledge through the development of original research in the disciplinary field from a comprehensive perspective.
