General objective
The Master of Science Program with a specialization in Botany has the general objective of training graduates capable of joining research teams to address and solve problems related to Botany, using scientific information and updated methodologies as a basis, and communicating relevant information of the discipline in academic and non-academic contexts.
Specific objectives
– To provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the different disciplinary areas included in the program.
– To promote the development of skills to identify gaps in the knowledge of Botany and address them through scientific research.
– To promote the conservation and enhancement of plant heritage through the development, maintenance and use of scientific collections and databases.

Professional or graduate with prior training that guarantees the necessary academic skills to pursue postgraduate studies. Applicant who demonstrates a clear and justified intention to specialize in the field of botany, specifically in phylogenetic systematics and evolutionary biology, physiological and functional ecology, or phytochemistry.
