goals

General objective
To train graduates with the skills to identify scientific or technological problems in the field of agronomic sciences, in order to propose, develop and communicate solutions generated from research, incorporating new technologies, with a focus on the sustainable management of natural resources for quality agricultural production in a context of food security and safety and climate change.

Specific objectives
– To train graduates who participate in research and communicate research aimed at generating knowledge and/or solving scientific or technological problems in topics related to the different areas of Agronomic Sciences.
– To promote the application of knowledge that allows innovation and the incorporation of new technologies in environmentally sustainable agri-food production.
– To provide tools to address scientific or technological problems in the field of agronomic sciences in the current scenario of climate change.
– To promote an ethical and environmentally sustainable approach in the scientific work of graduates.

Applicant Profile

The applicant must be a motivated, committed professional with scientific and effective communication skills, the ability to work in a team, proactive, and with a solid professional background with knowledge that contributes to food production and environmental care.

Graduate profile

The graduate will be able to propose, develop and communicate original solutions, applying advanced scientific and technological knowledge of Agronomic Sciences, to contribute to agri-food development with ethical commitment and in an environmentally sustainable context, contributing to the generation or adaptation of productive and technological processes in a scenario of global change.

Graduate competencies:
– Demonstrate advanced knowledge in concepts and methodologies of Agronomic Sciences corresponding to their specialty.
– To diagnose and propose solutions to problems associated with the management of natural resources of agricultural importance in a scenario of climate change and food security and safety, integrating updated scientific knowledge and appropriate methodological tools.
– Interpret information derived from the use and application of technological and methodological tools in solving problems inherent to their field of specialization.
– Critically evaluate one's own and peers' scientific work, arguing one's position based on scientific criteria for the resolution of specific problems in one's field of action.
– Participate in research teams to contribute to agri-food development with an ethical and environmentally sustainable approach.
– To organize and communicate relevant scientific and technical information in the field of their specialty.
– Formulate research, innovation or entrepreneurship projects related to your area of development.
