General objective
TO TRAIN ADVANCED, SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE HUMAN CAPITAL IN THE AREA OF BIOTECHNOLOGY WITH COMPETENCIES IN THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROCEDURES AND PROCESSES, BASED ON THE KNOWLEDGE AND MANAGEMENT OF NOVEL METHODS AND TOOLS APPLIED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY.
TO TRAIN GRADUATES CAPABLE OF APPLYING THE DISCOVERIES OF MOLECULAR, CELLULAR BIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY THAT ALLOW THEM TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE BIOTECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY, WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS.
INTEGRATE KNOWLEDGE IN GRADUATES THAT ALLOWS THEM TO DEVELOP NEW BIOLOGICALLY BASED PRODUCTS, PROCESSES AND/OR SERVICES, WITH SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
TO PROVIDE GRADUATES WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO BE ABLE TO CRITICALLY AND CREATIVELY ANALYZE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE RELATED TO BIOTECHNOLOGY.
Specific objectives
– To train graduates capable of applying the discoveries of Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology and Immunology that allow a positive impact on the biotechnology industry, within the framework of ethical considerations.
– To integrate knowledge in graduates that allows them to develop new biologically based products, processes and/or services, with social responsibility.
– To provide graduates with the necessary tools to be able to critically and creatively analyze scientific literature related to biotechnology.
Applicant Profile
Applicants to the Master's program in Molecular Biotechnology must hold a Bachelor's degree or professional title in related fields such as biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, bioengineering, biotechnology, or chemical engineering. Applicants must possess analytical and creative skills for formulating, analyzing, and solving problems related to various areas of biological sciences, demonstrate interest and motivation for research, be able to read specialized literature in English, and not present any ethical concerns.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Molecular Biotechnology have the skills to develop research projects and execute procedures and processes for the biotechnology industry in order to generate biotechnology-based bioproducts independently or by forming work teams.
