General objective
– TO PROMOTE ADVANCED TRAINING IN BIOCHEMISTRY AND BIOINFORMATICS, IN ORDER TO DEVELOP AND COMMUNICATE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THESE AREAS.
– THE DISTINCTIVE FEATURE OF THIS PROGRAM IS THE FORMAL TRAINING OF GRADUATES IN BIOCHEMISTRY AND BIOINFORMATICS.

Specific objectives
– To train graduates who can integrate into research groups and communicate relevant and pertinent research results in the area of Biochemistry and Bioinformatics, both orally and in writing.
– To instill in the graduate the importance of collaborative and multidisciplinary work.
– Emphasize the value component in the scientific actions of graduates, considering emerging social and bioethical demands.

Applicant Profile

– Demonstrate special interest and motivation for scientific knowledge and commitment to their environment
– Demonstrate clarity regarding your interests and projections in the area of biochemistry and bioinformatics
– demonstrate potential to cope with the academic workload imposed by the program and ability to interact with multidisciplinary groups
– have the ability to read specialized literature in English
– to handle topics in biochemistry and bioinformatics that they will have to demonstrate in an admissions exam

Graduate profile

The graduate of this program is a person with expertise in the conceptual and methodological handling of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, with the ability to generate, communicate and organize relevant information, manage projects and integrate research teams.
This training allows them to join research groups, contributing their knowledge of Biochemistry and Bioinformatics; it also gives them the ability to join Doctoral Programs
