General objective
The Master's Program in Astronomy at the University of Concepción aims to train graduates with analytical, critical, and creative skills that contribute to deepening or perfecting knowledge of astrophysics, in line with the program's development.
Specific objectives
– To train graduates who possess a solid foundation in fundamental topics of astronomy.
– To train graduates who are capable of solving problems in stellar, galactic and extragalactic astrophysics, as well as cosmology and the interstellar medium.
– To train graduates who are able to participate meaningfully in a research project, write an original scientific article and present their results at a conference.
– To train graduates who are capable of integrating research groups and generating proposals for astronomical observations.
