General objective
To train graduates with the skills to address geographical problems with a multidisciplinary approach, using methods and techniques of applied geography, and to innovate in the practical resolution of spatial situations with information technologies, generating knowledge oriented to meet the needs of professional demand.
Specific objectives
– To develop in students the ability to explore and analyze geographical problems in their professional field.
– To promote the use of applied geography techniques and methods among students to address spatial situations.
– To strengthen in students an innovative approach to the use of geographic information technologies for spatial analysis.
– To encourage students to provide specialized answers and proposals appropriate to geographical problems.
– To promote multidisciplinary learning and teamwork in addressing geographical problems.
Applicant Profile
To apply for the Master's degree in Geographic Analysis, applicants are expected to demonstrate:
– basic concepts of the contributions of geographic information technologies
– Basic understanding of spatial analysis concepts for geographic data
– Intermediate level computer and ICT skills
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Master's in Geographic Analysis has the skills to design and apply methodologies for the analysis of geographic problems that contribute to decision-making in the territory.

Geographic Analysis
The area of specialization is geographical analysis as a spatial way of thinking or viewing reality applied in different areas and scales such as urban-social phenomena of city growth, their sustainability, mobility, transport and globalization at different spatial scales and physical-natural phenomena of the territory such as mountain systems, watersheds, landscapes and socio-natural risks from the perspective of geographical analysis.
