To train a specialist in Traumatology and Orthopedics with the necessary skills to formulate and execute all medical acts related to the diagnosis, therapeutic plan, rehabilitation, prevention of disease and promotion of health in terms of the pathologies or clinical conditions of those patients with medical or surgical disorders of the locomotor system.

Applicant Profile

The program is intended for applicants holding a Medical Surgeon degree issued by any of the Chilean Universities recognized by the State or obtained abroad and having been duly accredited and validated in accordance with current legislation, with a vocation for service in the area of Traumatology and Orthopedics.

Graduate profile

The specialist in Traumatology and Orthopedics from the Catholic University of the Holy Conception is a professional endowed with scientific and human training, with mastery of the basic sciences, through solid clinical and surgical training necessary for the development of the specialty, with an integral view of the person and his environment, based on solid ethical principles and with a critical attitude regarding his actions.

The physician graduating from the program will be able to practice the specialty by resolving and guiding diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative behaviors of problems of the locomotor system and their complications, in addition to being able to carry out research and teaching activities that allow him to increase scientific knowledge and contribute to the continuous training of other professionals in his area.
