The specific objective of the program is to develop skills for the inclusion of political science knowledge in public debate, in order to generate contributions to the development of the country's political culture, democratic institutions and coexistence, as well as the strengthening of the State's capacity.

Applicant Profile

The Master's Degree in Political Science is aimed at professionals from different disciplines interested in training in the theoretical and empirical knowledge of Political Science, and who seek to contribute to the country through their professional performance and involvement in public affairs and debates of relevance to the country.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master's Program in Political Science will be prepared to apply their knowledge of Political Science to their work in the public and private sectors, as well as to public debate. This involves developing the following skills: critical and analytical understanding of highly complex ideas, and their communication through oral and written language; conducting applied research in the discipline, both individually and in groups, with the latter strengthening their ability to work in teams; incorporating political science knowledge into public debate and deliberation, and into the development of strategies, policies, and plans for government agencies, private entities, non-governmental organizations, and civil society organizations; working in the public and/or private sector to provide political science consulting services; understanding and analyzing the interdependent aspects of the globalized world; and applying ethical principles in resolving problems related to the professional work of the discipline.
