Applicant Profile

Identity: The Doctorate in Education is an academic program that provides competency-based training, characterized by its response to the demand for advanced human resource development for knowledge generation. To this end, it considers the new socio-educational scenarios of the regions and the country, as well as the challenges of the globalized world, seeking to understand, explain, and improve the quality of education in both disadvantaged social contexts and diverse and intercultural contexts.

Graduate profile

Graduates of this program will be able to conduct advanced research on educational issues. Furthermore, they will be qualified to work in universities, professional institutes, national and international research centers, and public and private entities. They will analyze new and complex ideas in the field of education and intercultural relations from an epistemological perspective, systematically understanding this area of study. They will research, individually or collaboratively, topics related to education in relevant contexts, from a transdisciplinary perspective. They will communicate the scientific progress of their research in the field of educational sciences by generating projects and/or publications in specialized journals at the regional, national, and international levels. They will adopt an ethical commitment in their research proposals and the construction of new knowledge, considering sociocultural practices in contexts of cultural diversity.
