goals
The primary objective is to train researchers with advanced knowledge in legal matters, enabling them to design and carry out original and independent research projects according to the guidelines established by the program, within the framework of the values that guide the University of Valparaíso.
Applicant Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws degree awarded by a Chilean or foreign university with the same or similar name, provided that the previous studies correspond to complete studies in Law.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the program is able to conceive, organize and develop autonomous research in the area of Law, identifying relevant legal problems, addressing them with the appropriate methodology and proposing solutions that represent an advance for their clarification.

1. Legal and political problems and challenges of modern democracies.
2. Rights and responsibilities in contracting in the areas of property, non-property and family relations.
3. Reparation and protection of persons in the system of patrimonial legal relations and the family and filial systems.
4. Constitutional and administrative interpretation, theory and justice.
5. Theory and practice of fundamental rights.
6. Basis, classes and degrees of public sanctioning and punitive powers
7. Current issues in challenging judicial decisions.
