Specific objectives:

– To provide the graduate with a solid education that allows for optimal conceptual and methodological understanding of chemical sciences.

– To contribute to the generation and transmission of knowledge through autonomous and cutting-edge research in the discipline.

– Promote international cooperation to allow the graduate to interact with high-level research groups abroad.

Applicant Profile

The Doctoral Program in Science with a specialization in Chemistry is designed for applicants with outstanding academic performance. Applicants to the Doctoral Program in Science with a specialization in Chemistry must hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Master's degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent academic degree/professional title in a related field, with a foundational background that supports their participation in the Doctoral Program. An equivalent academic degree/professional title in a related field includes, among others, Biochemistry, Chemistry Education, and Chemical Engineering. Regardless of their undergraduate background, applicants must demonstrate top academic achievement during their undergraduate studies and excellent analytical and creative skills for formulating, analyzing, and solving problems related to the various areas of chemical sciences. They must also possess a high level of proficiency in experimental work in Chemistry or in the use of computational tools applied to Chemistry.
