goals
The program aims to train graduates of the highest academic level, capable of creating and transferring knowledge in and from the area of biotechnology for the development of goods and services in the areas of human and animal health, bioprocesses and the environment.
Applicant Profile
Those holding a bachelor's or master's degree in areas and disciplines related to Biotechnology are eligible. The Program Director may exceptionally authorize the admission of individuals who are in the final stages of graduation or in other academic situations that warrant it. Such individuals will be admitted conditionally, with their final acceptance contingent upon obtaining the corresponding degree.
Graduate profile
Graduates of this program possess expert knowledge in the disciplines of molecular cell biology, bioprocess engineering, and technology management, having acquired the ability to generate genetically modified organisms and establish new industrial bioprocesses. The PhD in Biotechnology is distinguished by creating and transferring biotechnological knowledge geared toward the generation of goods and services, working independently in knowledge creation and generating solutions in the field of Biotechnology, thus contributing to innovative Research and Development with participation and connectivity to the business sector and academia.
