The decision adopted jointly by CRUCH, MINEDUC and DEMRE aims to ensure that students can take the tests in a more peaceful environment and have the opportunity to travel to the testing locations without difficulty.

In the 2020 University Admissions Process, more than 295,000 people are registered to take the University Selection Tests (PSU). Considering this number and the need to ensure the best possible conditions for the process, the responsible authorities have been continuously analyzing the situation and evaluating the best alternatives. In this context, an initial modification was announced at the end of October.

However, in light of the current social and political situation in the country and given that this is a relevant process for all those who wish to enter one of the 41 universities participating in the Unified Admission System, the Council of Rectors together with the Ministry of Education and the Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration (DEMRE) of the University of Chile, have adopted the decision to modify the admission calendar again, so that the dates for taking the PSU have been postponed to January 6 and 7, 2020.

This decision, mainly seeks that the students can take the tests in a context of greater tranquility and have the possibility of moving to the places of surrender chosen by them without difficulties.

It's important to remember that taking the exams is just the beginning of the process, and that other stages follow—score submission, application, and selection results—culminating in the enrollment period. For more detailed information, the revised 2020 Admissions Process Calendar will be available on the official CRUCH and DEMRE websites.

We understand that this new modification may generate inconveniences, which we sincerely regret, but the decision took into account the higher good of all who are registered, as well as of the other actors involved who make possible the implementation of this highly complex process.
