The new registration period for those wishing to take the PSU (University Selection Test) at the end of November will be open from September 12 to October 4. Students must register through the Applicant Portal on the DEMRE (Department of Measurement, Evaluation and Educational Records) website. The regular registration period, from June 13 to August 12, ended with a total of 269,605 registered students.
The extraordinary registration period for the PSU began today, Monday, September 12, and will extend until Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m., according to the dates established in the 2017 Admission Process Calendar, as reported by the Single Admission System of the Council of Rectors (CRUCH).
Those wishing to take the exams on Monday, November 28th and Tuesday, November 29th must register through the Applicant Portal on the DEMRE (Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration of the University of Chile) website. Registration costs 30,060 Chilean pesos ($) and, as in the regular registration period, applicants can apply for the Junaeb Scholarship. This scholarship is for students graduating from 12th grade this year from municipal and subsidized private schools.
It's worth noting that the regular registration period ran from June 13 to August 12 and concluded with a total of 269,605 students registered. Of these, 197,917 are from this year's graduating class, and 71,688 are from previous graduating classes. Last year, 272,706 students registered during the same period, reaching 289,480 by the end of the late registration period.
Other relevant dates
It's important to remember that on the first day of the PSU, Monday, November 28th, the Language and Communication test will be administered at 9:00 AM, followed by the Science test at 2:30 PM. On Tuesday, November 29th, the Mathematics test will be administered at 9:00 AM, and the History, Geography, and Social Sciences test will be administered in the afternoon (2:30 PM).
On the other hand, the document “Final Offer of Careers, Vacancies and Weightings” will be published on September 22nd, where applicants will find information on the requirements of all the careers offered by the 36 universities that participate in the Single Admission System of the Council of Rectors, that is, the 27 belonging to CRUCH and the 9 private affiliated ones.
Subsequently, the Testing Locations will be published on November 3rd, and the Ranking Simulator will be available that same day. The Application Simulator will be available on Monday, November 7th.
