The executive vice president of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), Rector Juan Manuel Zolezzi, the executive director of the Single Admission System (SUA), Angélica Bosch, and the head of the Studies and Research Unit of the Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration (DEMRE), of the University of Chile, Jorge Hernández, carried out an analysis of the main results of the application and selection process to the universities of the Council of Rectors Admission System.

Rector Juan Manuel Zolezzi congratulated the selected students and wished them success in their first academic year. “This is a process with several stages, and all the selected students have shown the motivation, ability, and perseverance to achieve their goal,” he added.

This year, due to the increase in applicants, the average cut-off scores rose by 7.6 points. This figure surpasses that of the previous year, which was 2.8 points. The area that saw the largest increase in cut-off scores was Art and Architecture, while the areas with the smallest increases were Social Sciences, Law, and Education.
