The plenary session of the Council of Rectors met at the University of La Frontera. Among the topics reviewed were the schedule of activities for the University Selection Test (PSU) and the debate on the 2015 Budget, among others.
The plenary session of the Council of Rectors for November was held in Temuco, organized by the University of La Frontera. The meeting addressed a variety of topics, including the review of the PSU (University Selection Test) schedule, which is administered on December 1st and 2nd, and the proposed changes to the 2015 Budget in Parliament, among others.
Regarding the Budget, the Executive Vice President of the Council, Rector Juan Manuel Zolezzi, reported on the dialogue process that took place between the institutions and with Parliament, which culminated in the increase of the allocation for universities.
Regarding the PSU (University Selection Test), he indicated that 283,000 students will take the test this year. As previously announced, this version of the test will not penalize incorrect answers and will include content aligned with the secondary education curriculum reform implemented by the Ministry of Education.
Furthermore, he stated that in January, the Council of Rectors will analyze the matters that still need to be implemented in the PSU change schedule, such as the feasibility of changing to a Pure Ranking in 2015 and the need to adjust the High School Grade scale.
