The CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee received the invitation to participate in the exhibition, organized by the Technological University of Panama, the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico and the Inter-American University Organization, which included postgraduate programs from Chile, Brazil and Canada.

The sixth Mesoamerican Fair of Quality Mexican Postgraduate Programs was held on October 29 and 30 in Panama City. This event was organized by the Technological University of Panama (UTP), the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT), and the Inter-American Organization of Universities (OIU).

The CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee received the invitation to participate in the Fair, which took on an international character by adding to the Mexican offer, the postgraduate offer of countries such as Chile, Brazil and Canada.

The Fair included the individual promotion of offerings through stands, thematic conferences, thematic workshops and networking.

The CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee set the following objectives for universities that offer doctoral programs:

1. Present the range of doctoral and master's degree programs currently offered and gather the interests of universities in the respective countries.

2. Strengthen academic collaboration ties with universities in Panama

3. Establish links and future agreements that facilitate the exchange of academics and doctoral students.

The program also included a meeting with the Chilean Ambassador to Panama, Mr. Francisco Cruz. Ximena García, president of the CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee, explained that the presence in Panama was part of a program to support the internationalization of postgraduate programs, specifically doctoral programs, which aims to encourage more Latin American students to pursue doctoral degrees at CRUCH universities. Furthermore, the mission also explored the possibility of collaboration with other universities present at the Fair, including internships, joint thesis supervision, dual degrees, joint degrees, academic and student exchanges, and research, among other opportunities.

The ambassador reported that the Summit of the Americas will be held in Panama next year, and an academic summit will take place during the week of April 5, 2015, providing an important academic space for visibility and showcase.
