The decision to postpone the delivery of the scores by one week was adopted by the Council of Rectors after considering a request from the Ministry of Education.
The application process for 33 universities in the Unified Admission System will also begin on December 28.
The results of the University Selection Test (PSU) will be delivered on December 28 at 8:00 a.m., one week later than scheduled in the 2015 Admission Process Calendar, as reported by the executive vice president of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), Rector Juan Manuel Zolezzi.
On the same day, the application process will begin for the universities participating in the Single Admission System (SUA), that is, the twenty-five CRUCH universities and the eight affiliated private universities.
This decision by the Council of Rectors was adopted after considering the request from the Higher Education Division (DIVESUP) of the Ministry of Education to modify the calendar. DIVESUP argued that, for operational reasons, additional time was needed to deliver the list of pre-selected candidates for the Academic Excellence Scholarship (BEA), information necessary for the university application process. “Since students need to know if they are scholarship recipients at the time of application, it was decided to postpone the start of this stage by one week,” explained Rector Zolezzi.
It is worth noting that the PSU, for which there are a total of 282,992 registered students, will be held on December 1 and 2 as planned.
