In the 2011-2012 call, two scholarships were awarded for the completion of a doctoral program and a short postdoctoral stay in Spanish universities.

The recipients were Giannina Andrea Dávila, with a doctoral scholarship at the University of Barcelona, and Gustavo Curaqueo Fuentes, with a short-term postdoctoral research grant at the Center for Soil Science and Biology, CSIC, in Murcia.
