goals

The overall objective of the master's program is to introduce students to research training in science and technology for the resolution of relevant problems in one of the 3 areas or specializations: Industries; Civil Works; and Informatics and Telecommunications.

Specific objectives:
– Develop skills to design and carry out research projects in the field of engineering, as well as the ability to communicate the results orally or in writing.
– To develop scientific rigor and analytical skills that allow solving problems that arise in the practice of engineering.
– To provide initial training in research, enabling graduates to pursue doctoral studies or to work in fields focused on developing innovative solutions through engineering projects.

Applicant Profile

The program is primarily, though not exclusively, aimed at students enrolled in one of the three undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Engineering (FIC). Students entering the master's program are expected to have a strong motivation for learning and an interest in developing research skills that will enable them to develop and innovate in engineering areas consistent with the research lines pursued at the FIC.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master of Science in Engineering program will be able to:
– Identify, propose and manage solutions to engineering problems using advanced knowledge of your discipline.
– To conduct independent research that contributes to expanding knowledge and/or generating solutions to practical problems in their area of expertise.
– Continuously update their knowledge in their respective area of expertise, in order to learn autonomously.
