The Master's Program in Musical Performance is designed to train highly qualified graduates capable of pursuing artistic creation and research in their field. Its objectives are geared towards developing innovative approaches to musical performance, understanding this specialization as a form of artistic creation shaped by reflection and research into stylistic practices, and the acquisition of technical, analytical, and interpretive skills related to classical repertoires of European tradition, with an emphasis on Latin American production.

Applicant Profile

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree or a professional qualification in a musical field. Additionally, they must submit a Curriculum Vitae outlining relevant milestones and experiences in the field of musical training and activity; an audiovisual record of performance activity (DVD recordings made during the last year); a Letter of Intent stating the objectives to be achieved in the Program and outlining a work proposal; and a Letter of Commitment to Obtain Health Insurance (for international students).
Documents may be submitted in Spanish, English or French, duly legalized in accordance with the Hague Apostille.

Graduate profile

Graduates will possess a solid musical foundation encompassing creative, interpretive, and technical aspects. This will enable them to develop musical proposals based on the classical repertoire of Western and Latin American musical production. Their approach will integrate research and critical analysis of bibliographic sources concerning the context of the works' production, critical reflection on interpretation, and aspects related to staging. Consequently, they will be equipped to make stylistic interpretive decisions, develop concert programs, recording projects, and other practices that will allow them to construct and innovate creative musical proposals with a global, coherent, and distinctive vision, drawing upon the elements described above.

Lines of investigation

The Master's Degree in Musical Performance offers 5 instrumental areas - of
specialization:
1. Keyboard and percussion instruments: piano, harpsichord and percussion
2. String instruments: guitar, violin, baroque violin, viola, cello and double bass
3.-Wind instruments: bassoon, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, horn and transverse flute.
4.-Direction: Orchestral and Choral.
5.-Lyric Singing.
