The Master's Program in Educational Psychology is defined as a program whose purpose is to provide its students with excellent postgraduate training, enabling them to practice professionally in the field of educational psychology. The general objective of this program is to train professionals and academics capable of: Contributing to the educational field with originality in the design, implementation, and evaluation of intervention programs and applied research, providing ethical and critical reflection. Working in interdisciplinary teams, supporting educational development processes from a psychological perspective, with a systemic and comprehensive approach to the complexity and implications of the educational phenomenon. Specific Objectives. Cognitive Dimension: To enhance an updated understanding of the conceptual systems specific to educational psychology (learning and teaching, educational system, educational assessment) and regarding research in the educational field. Instrumental Dimension: To appropriately use tools to work in the psycho-educational field, conducting needs analyses, designing, implementing, and evaluating educational intervention strategies, with a systemic and multidimensional perspective. To manage tools for designing and conducting applied research processes on educational phenomena, from the perspective of educational psychology. To develop skills for communicating results to diverse audiences, including the scientific community and educational stakeholders. Attitudinal Dimension: To develop skills for discerning and acting ethically in the face of problems in the professional and psycho-educational research field, considering principles of justice, solidarity, democracy, and respect for all human beings. To develop skills for interdisciplinary and collaborative participation in diverse professional contexts and with people from different cultures.

The Master's in Educational Psychology is an advanced and specialized program for professional and academic practice in the field of education. It is aimed at graduates in Psychology, Social Sciences, and related disciplines, as well as other graduates who can demonstrate a background related to education.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Educational Psychology will possess the following competencies: Ability to manage theoretical models associated with specific and emerging problems in the psychoeducational field (school learning, the educational system, assessment, talents, adult and parent education, among other areas). Ability to design and implement intervention programs and applied research, communicating the results to diverse stakeholders. Ability to reflect on the practical and ethical impact of assessment, program design, intervention, and assessment in educational processes, at both the micro and macro levels.
Lines of investigation
The teaching and research team of the Master's Program in Educational Psychology organizes its work around four main lines of research, which also constitute areas of development in which students can focus their training. Teaching and learning processes: a) Cognitive processes constituting human learning. b) Emotional, motivational, and identity processes linked to teaching and learning. c) Teacher training (initial and ongoing), beliefs, and practices. d) Reading and writing at different developmental levels (preschool, school, university, adults). Inclusion and diversity: a) Promoting learning in people with special educational needs. b) Diversity, exclusion, and prejudice in educational contexts. c) Beliefs of different educational stakeholders regarding diversity and inclusion. Socio-emotional development and education: a) School violence. b) Coexistence and peer relationships. c) Development of socio-emotional skills and tools in formal and non-formal educational contexts. Assessment and measurement in the educational setting: a) Design and validation of instruments. b) Evaluation of devices and methodologies. c) Evaluation of teaching and learning programs.
