goals
The Master's Program in Public Health will have as its fundamental objectives to provide:
1.- A systematic academic training of a high level in the disciplines and content of the field of public health.
2.- Scientific knowledge and skills so that the graduate can perform efficiently in higher education teaching and research and in managerial and executive functions related to public health.
Applicant Profile
1.- Bachelor's degree or professional title whose level, content and duration of studies correspond to training equivalent to that of the Bachelor's degree at the University of Chile, as determined by the corresponding Academic Committee.
2. In the case of applicants who are native speakers of Spanish, demonstrate adequate oral and written proficiency in Spanish. Proficiency in English at the reading comprehension level is also required.

The graduate of the Master's Program in Public Health at the University of Chile is a professional with a solid scientific and applied knowledge background, committed to the development of population health from a pluralistic, critical and ethical perspective.
This individual is capable of analyzing and addressing population-based health and disease phenomena at the local, national, and global levels, as well as their epidemiological, environmental, socio-political, and cultural dynamics, from an integrated perspective. They possess the necessary management skills to form multidisciplinary and intersectoral teams in the public and private sectors, with a focus on participation and empowerment of civil society.
Lines of investigation
The lines of research are linked to the areas of development of the Master's Program in Public Health, which correspond to approaches that can support the implementation of applied research. These areas are described below: Epidemiology, Management of Health Institutions, Health Policy and Economics, Community Health and Primary Care, Occupational Health, and Environmental Health
