It is expected that upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
To build teaching and learning processes for oral and written comprehension and production with a sociocultural perspective, addressing cultural and linguistic diversity in the classroom, through didactic research focused on the importance of authentic literacy practices, fostering continuous reflection that allows for the analysis of curricular designs and study programs, the development and evaluation of different didactic devices, and advising educational establishments.
Applicant Profile
• Teachers of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, Secondary Education, Special Education and Psychopedagogues who hold a university degree and who in their initial training have taken subjects related to the didactics of language or similar, and who are interested in specializing in the field of didactics of language and children's and young adult literature.
• Graduates in linguistics, literature, or humanities, involved in the development of projects related to reading, writing, and orality in formal and informal settings (municipalities, publishing houses, NGOs, libraries, cultural centers, community centers, among others). These professionals have practical experience in language teaching, but lack in-depth training in this area and feel the need to develop it to improve their performance and fully understand the scope of their projects.
Graduates of Early Childhood Education, Pedagogy in Basic Education, Pedagogy in Spanish Language of Secondary Education, Special Education Teachers or Psychopedagogues.

Graduate profile
Upon completion of the study plan, it is expected that the specialist graduating from the Master's Program in Language Didactics will meet the following competencies:
o Problematizes and debates the complexities and functions linked to the understanding and production of diverse discursive genres, in the school context, based on theories about the development of literacy within the framework of cultural diversity, in order to make didactic decisions based on professional practice.
o Understands the phenomena of teaching and learning of each of the axes of the Language curriculum, based on the contributions of current research in didactics, to practice teaching, provide advice or train teachers with the purpose of promoting and favoring the development of literacy in schooling.
o Analyzes, develops and/or evaluates teaching units, school texts and various teaching devices regarding the development of the cultural, communicative and oral, written and multimodal linguistic competencies of students that promote authentic literacy practices.
o Design and implement didactic research focused on the development of literacy to reflect on the implications in the field of language didactics based on empirical results.
