goals

The Master of Science in Engineering program, specializing in Structural Engineering, has the general objective of training graduates in the field of Structural Engineering Sciences, in disciplines associated with the program's research areas: Computational Mechanics of Solids and Structures, and Steel Structures. These research areas are sufficiently versatile and broad to address diverse applications within structural engineering, from the material level, through intermediate levels related to individual structural elements, to the global scale of a structure.

The specific objectives of the program are:
● To provide graduates with the necessary tools, knowledge and skills to enable them to advance, deepen and perfect themselves in one or more areas of Structural Engineering, associated with the different lines of research of the program.
● To train graduates who can participate in scientific and technological development through scientific research in academic institutions, laboratories or research centers.
● To promote, both orally and in writing, the dissemination of knowledge generated in research activities, through national and international scientific media.
