goals
The Faculty of Agronomic Sciences at the University of Chile offers a Master's program in Agricultural Sciences, designed to enhance the skills of professionals and academics seeking advanced training in scientific reasoning and creative thinking. This program aims to strengthen academic activities and foster innovation in production technologies. It focuses on the agri-food sector and its environmental context, contributing to the development, competitiveness, and well-being of Chile and the Latin American region.
Applicant Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent or higher degree from a Chilean or foreign university recognized by the relevant State, in the agricultural or related fields, such as veterinary medicine, biology, biotechnology, agro-industry, chemistry, and environmental science. In addition, applicants must demonstrate an interest in research or innovation, as well as basic proficiency in Spanish and English, according to the requirements established and published by the Graduate School for the respective admission period.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Master's in Agricultural Sciences is characterized by their ability to develop reflective and analytical thinking around advanced knowledge about these sciences, which will allow them to address problems in their work and academic field independently, innovatively and creatively.
The program also defines two graduate sub-profiles:
1.- Professional: The graduate will have solid training, knowledge and skills that will allow him to practice professionally in the field of agricultural sciences; he will be able to solve complex problems in the professional area and generate innovation that allows the optimization of agricultural production and the management of natural resources.
2.- Academic: The graduate will have a solid training, knowledge and skills that will allow him/her to practice academically in the field of agricultural sciences; he/she will be able to participate in research activities through the use of the scientific method, critical analysis and the making of creative proposals.

The Master's Program in Agricultural Sciences offers its students the opportunity to delve deeper into areas of specialization related to the research lines of the faculty, which include the following:
