goals
General objective
To train graduates with the skills to diagnose and propose solutions to problems or needs in the area of human nutrition, based on the proper handling of scientific evidence and ethical commitment, communicating effectively in different contexts and integrating into interdisciplinary work teams.
Specific objectives
– To respond to the need of the field for graduates in human nutrition who address problems based on updated scientific foundations and ethical commitment.
– To provide theoretical and methodological tools to improve the job performance of graduates in their respective fields of action.
– To generate opportunities for connection with the professional and labor environment through the formulation of joint projects with the active participation of the students of the program.
– To strengthen oral and written communication skills in order to improve the professional performance of graduates and their integration into interdisciplinary work teams.

A professional with training in the health field and related areas, responsible to themselves and their environment, proactive, and capable of self-directed learning. Focused on developing solutions or courses of action to address challenges in the field of human nutrition. Respectful of colleagues and professors. Interested in updating and deepening their knowledge and skills. Proficient in basic English.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Master's program in Human Nutrition is a specialized professional capable of critically evaluating scientific information in the discipline, in order to support professional decision-making, integrate into work teams, and formulate projects to address problems or needs in their environment, communicating relevant information orally and in writing.
The graduate's competencies are:
1. Evaluate scientific information in human nutrition to support decision-making in a self-learning context.
2. Use up-to-date scientific information to support proposals for human food and nutrition.
3. Integrate work teams to carry out an evaluation of a problem or need, and proposals for intervention aimed at promoting health and preventing disease.
4. To propose interventions in phenomena associated with human nutrition using updated conceptualization and methodological tools.
5. Formulate projects in the area of health promotion and disease prevention to contribute to the solution of nutritional problems or needs in the population with an integrative and ethical approach.
6. Communicate relevant information in academic and non-academic contexts, both orally and in writing.
Lines of investigation
– The area of specialization is Human Nutrition, the science that studies human nutrition, nutritional requirements, eating habits, the composition and nutritional value of food, and the relationship between dietetics, nutrition, health, and disease.
