The \u201cStrategic Management System 2023-2030 \u2013 SDE CRUCH 2030\u201d includes six strategic development axes and constitutes a roadmap for the work of the institution and seeks to \u00ableave at the service of the country the great potential and capabilities of the CRUCH universities which, as we know, are the best universities in the country in each of the regions,\u201d said the executive vice president of CRUCH, Emilio Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Science, Ais\u00e9n Etcheverry, and the Undersecretary of Higher Education, V\u00edctor Orellana, were in charge of commenting on the document and specifying the areas of collaboration with CRUCH.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"\"The Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH) presented the document this morning. \u201cStrategic Management System 2023-2030 \u2013 SDE CRUCH 2030\u201d<\/strong>, which contains the institution's main guidelines and commitments<\/strong> to contribute to the design of public policies aimed at the transformation and substantial improvement of Higher Education, as well as with responses to address the country's global challenges.<\/p>\n

The presentation, which took place in the main auditorium of the Pereira Palace in Santiago, was led by the executive vice president of CRUCH and rector of the University of Tarapac\u00e1<\/a>, Emilio Rodr\u00edguez; the Secretary General of the Council, Ang\u00e9lica Bosch; and included interventions from Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation (CTCI),<\/a> Ais\u00e9n Etcheverry; and the Undersecretary of Higher Education, V\u00edctor Orellana.<\/p>\n

Among those present were rectors, vice-rectors and other representatives from the 30 universities of the CRUCH and also authorities from Ministry of Education,<\/a> of the Ministry of CTCI<\/a>, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>, of the Superintendency of Higher Education<\/a>, of the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission<\/a> (CCHEN), among other entities.<\/p>\n

\"\"Regarding the document, Rector Rodr\u00edguez stated that \u201cIt is very important; it is an agreement, a far-reaching moral commitment made by each of the CRUCH institutions.<\/strong>, "It defines its mission, strategic purposes, and the principles and values on which the actions of our Council of Rectors will be based towards 2030.".<\/p>\n

Regarding the impact of the SDE CRUCH 2030 initiatives, the executive vice president stated that \u201cWe hope to put the great potential and capabilities of the CRUCH universities at the service of the country.<\/strong> which, as we know, are the best universities in the country in each of the regions.\u201d.<\/p>\n

For their part, The Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication (CTCI), Ais\u00e9n Etcheverry, praised the role of CRUCH and the collaboration that has been established between both organizations.<\/strong>. \u201cThe ability to generate thought, to transform discussion and delve deeper into subjects, as well as to acknowledge the complexity of things, is something that can be done and resolved in institutions like universities. I believe that is very much present in this document and in what we have seen in the various CRUCH meetings; it is something we are all committed to and can move forward on.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Higher Education, V\u00edctor Orellana, indicated that \u201cupon reviewing the document, the first thing we thought about was the need for us as a country Let's take advantage of this convergence we are experiencing, from the perspective of the strategic horizon (...) It is essential that we move forward, that we work together, that we leave our mark, that we build public policy<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Finally, the executive vice president of CRUCH stated that \u201cwe have worked in a very coordinated, ongoing, and systematic way with the Minister of Science and the Undersecretary, who, I would say, are part of the CRUCH family. In that context, we value and appreciate the presence of such high-ranking officials at this meeting.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Six strategic axes<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"The SDE CRUCH 2030, which is being consolidated as a roadmap for the institution's work in the next decade,<\/strong> It includes six strategic development axes, which contain specific objectives and initiatives.<\/p>\n

The first of them is the CRUCH Structure and Governance axis<\/strong>, which seeks to strengthen the organizational structure and internal governance systems to meet the institutional strategic design.<\/p>\n

He second axis<\/strong>, which is at the heart of CRUCH's work, is that of\u00a0Public Policies in Higher Education<\/strong>, which aims to design and propose intersectoral public policies, based on good university practices, with an impact on the development of the system.<\/p>\n

He The third and fourth development axes are: Internal Quality Assurance Standards<\/strong>, which seeks to propose standards of quality and excellence for knowledge management and the assurance of the quality of institutional processes and results; and\u00a0Research and Knowledge Generation<\/strong>, which aims to position CRUCH and its universities as leaders in applied research.<\/p>\n

The last two pillars are Internationalization and Digital Transformation of the Higher Education system and Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, These axes seek, on the one hand, to strengthen strategic alliances with international organizations and contribute to the internationalization processes of universities, and on the other hand, to create proposals for the proactive incorporation of the opportunities offered by digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdopting these axes as guiding principles implies the articulation of collaborative instances and actions.<\/strong> "In favor of equity and the circulation in different directions of academic experiences, cutting-edge knowledge, innovation, creation and institutional capacities, for the benefit of university communities and territories," Rodr\u00edguez noted.<\/p>\n

The document's development began in January of this year during a "Strategic Management Workshop" attended by most of the university presidents. Subsequently, an editorial committee of presidents and professionals systematized the proposals. In June, the CRUCH plenary session approved the final document.<\/p>\n
