The UC Master&#039;s in Epidemiology is the first program of its kind in Chile, geared towards Chilean and international professionals directly or indirectly involved in the health field. Graduates from other disciplines interested in health research are also eligible, including those from medicine, dentistry, psychology, sociology, nutrition, midwifery, chemistry and pharmacy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, economics, geography, veterinary medicine, and biological sciences, among others. <\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"postulante\">\n<h6>Graduate profile<\/h6>\n<p>Graduates of the Master&#039;s Program in Epidemiology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile are able to: a) Integrate the conceptual and methodological aspects of the sciences that constitute public health, for the understanding of population health, with an emphasis on field epidemiology, clinical and social research. b) Lead, manage, and advise on epidemiological research projects on the causes and distribution of health problems, clinical trials, and community studies. c) Design, conduct, and evaluate epidemiological surveillance systems and environmental epidemiology studies. d) Demonstrate the UC (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile) approach by being able to recognize and safeguard ethical considerations in scientific research and health decision-making. e) Contribute specialized knowledge in their field, working in academic or health settings at the national and international levels.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"investigacion\">\n<h6>Lines of investigation<\/h6>\n<p>I. Population studies, chronic diseases, health promotion, preventive strategies. II. Maternal and child health, childhood, child development. III. Communicable diseases, environmental and occupational epidemiology. IV. Social epidemiology, health inequalities. V. Mental health, life cycle and life course, qualitative methods. VI. Clinical epidemiology and evidence synthesis, applied statistical methods. VII.
