They construct knowledge in the discipline with social and ethical responsibility, working in teams or independently, applying the theoretical and methodological approaches appropriate to the nature of the problem. They communicate their research to the scientific community in their field, as well as to the broader educational community, using specialized and context-appropriate discourse genres.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"investigacion\">\n<h6>Lines of investigation<\/h6>\n<p>Line 1: Cognitive Neuroscience and Special Education for Research on Learning and Difficulties in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics: This line studies the development of cognitive processes and their relationship to learning, information processing models, as well as the processes and instruments of psychoneurological assessment and intervention applied to research in Educational Psychology and Special Education. Furthermore, it investigates the relationship between cognitive processes and learning difficulties in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics that occur at different levels of formal education. It also analyzes research on the processes of assessment, diagnosis, and psychoeducational intervention in these cognitive processes, across the formal education system.<br \/>\nLine 2: Special Education and Society: This line of research, from an interdisciplinary perspective, connects with national policies in Special Education related to Educational Inclusion and Diversity, as well as with the specialist&#039;s research from a social perspective with a rights-based approach. From the standpoint of its relationship with the social sciences, it also investigates beliefs, perceptions, and representations in Special Education.
