Specifically, it is a basic requirement that the applicant hold a Bachelor&#039;s degree or a professional title whose level and content are equivalent to those required for obtaining a Bachelor&#039;s degree.<br \/>\nThe MEDEH is an annual admissions program, with admissions beginning in the first semester of each year, and is governed by the general regulations established in the aforementioned regulations. There are two admission pathways: regular admission or undergraduate-graduate affiliation agreement. Admission requirements vary depending on the chosen pathway. <\/p>\n<p>Regular Admission:<br \/>\nApplicants submit their documents through the online system of the Postgraduate Studies Office: https:\/\/secure12.uach.cl\/Postgrado\/PostulacionAdmision\/<br \/>\nApplications are accepted between June and January. An additional application period may be opened between February and March.<\/p>\n<p>The required background information is as follows:<br \/>\n1. Letter of motivation<br \/>\n2. Curriculum vitae with the applicant&#039;s academic and professional background<br \/>\n3. Certified copy of Bachelor&#039;s degree or professional title of at least eight academic semesters. In the case of foreign applicants, the credentials must be validated by the Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs of the country where the studies were completed, or by the Chilean Consulate in the country where the applicant resides.<br \/>\n4. Certified copy of academic transcript, broken down by semester, validated by the issuing institution. For international applicants, the information in the previous point applies.<br \/>\n5. Other relevant accreditations (postgraduate studies, postgraduate degrees, specializations, awards, etc.).<br \/>\n6. Two letters of recommendation that include the sender&#039;s contact information.<br \/>\n7. Accreditation of Spanish language proficiency in the case of foreign applicants whose native language is not Spanish.<br \/>\nOnce the application has been submitted, an interview is scheduled between the applicant and the Master&#039;s Program Director.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, applicants interested in applying for the Right Livelihood College (RLC) Campus Austral Scholarship must comply with the requirements specified in point 5.1.6.<\/p>\n<p>Admission via undergraduate-postgraduate articulation:<br \/>\nThose interested in the Marine Biology and Geography programs must provide and submit the following background information to the Undergraduate School to which they belong:<br \/>\n1. Proof of having passed eight semesters of the undergraduate degree<br \/>\n2. Exhibit a Cumulative Overall Average higher than the career average<br \/>\n3. Letter from the applicant indicating their motivation for entering the program<br \/>\n4. Curriculum vitae<br \/>\n5. Personal interview<br \/>\n6. Standardized format included in the procedure regulations <\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"postulante\">\n<h6>Graduate profile<\/h6>\n<p>Graduates of the Master&#039;s Program in Human Scale Development and Ecological Economics are competent to:<br \/>\n1. Understand the multidimensional and complex nature of economic problems and address them through transdisciplinary perspectives and methods.<\/p>\n<p>2. Appreciate the dynamic interaction of development in the articulation of the micro and the macro, the global and the local, human beings with nature, science and technology.<\/p>\n<p>3. To value people, respect for all forms of life and environmental sustainability as guiding principles for the management of companies and organizations, as well as for public policies for development.<\/p>\n<p>4. Select the means to analyze situations, design and implement development programs and strategies considering the models of Human Scale Development and Ecological Economics.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"investigacion\">\n<h6>Lines of investigation<\/h6>\n<p>The Master&#039;s Program in Human-Scale Development and Ecological Economics maintains two lines of research that cover the main areas of student training and the teaching and research of faculty members, collaborating academics, and visiting scholars. These are:<br \/>\n\u2013 Human Scale Development<br \/>\n\u2013 Ecological Economics<\/p>\n<p>Human Scale Development<br \/>\nHuman-scale development understands that development is not solely related to economic growth, but rather results from improving people&#039;s quality of life, which depends on the adequate satisfaction of fundamental human needs (FHN) such as subsistence, protection, affection, understanding, participation, creation, leisure, identity, and freedom. This development model combines universal aspects of the human condition, such as fundamental needs, with local and territorial visions of self-managed development, articulating the micro and macro, the global and the local, human beings with nature, science and technology with ethics, and civil society with the State.<br \/>\nEcological Economics<br \/>\nEcological economics, instead of understanding the economy as a closed system, without relationships with any other system, places it as a subsystem forming part of a larger and finite system which is the biosphere, making it, therefore, dependent on the laws of thermodynamics and the services provided by ecosystems, shaping ecological and biological balances.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"contacto-wrap d-flex\">\n<div
